Here we have a good-sized collection of baseball pasteboards from the 1940s thru the 1960s. A few HOFers are included, but most are journeymen players. Many card manufacturers of the era are also represented. Card condition is fairly uniform with about 10% EX, 25% VG-EX to EX, 45% VG, 15% GD-VG and 5% lesser, unless otherwise noted. The collection includes: 1) 1947–1966 Exhibit Baseball: 39 cards, including Williams, Berra, Musial, Robinson; all with pinholes. 2) 1948 Bowman: 17 cards. 3) 1948 Leaf: 41 cards, including Vander Meer, Pafko, Marion, Kluszewski. 4) 1949 Bowman: 160 cards, many duplicates, a few minor stars. 5) 1950 Drake’s Cookies: 11 cards, including Furillo, Snider, Dom DiMaggio. 6) 1950 Bowman: 170 cards, many duplicates, a few minor stars. 7) 1951 Topps redbacks: Complete set of 52 cards, plus 20 duplicates. Includes Berra (PR), Feller (EX-MT but crease), Spahn (VG-EX, crease), Snider (EX-MT but crease). 8) 1951 Bowman: 71 cards. 9) 1952 Topps: 39 cards, including Hodges (PR, creases), Jensen. 10) 1953 Bowman color: 20 cards, including Kluszewski. 11) 1953 Topps: 75 cards; overall a nicer group, with many being EX or better. 12) 1956 Topps: 12 cards, including Giles, Phillies and Braves team cards. Most have NM corners but are oc/mc. Also included are about 50 1960s cards, mostly journeymen Mets. A fun collection of mostly '40s and '50s baseball from Topps, Bowman, etc. Total of 770+ cards.
