The 1941 Major League Baseball All-Star Game was the ninth playing of the Midsummer Classic. The game was held on July 8, 1941, at Briggs Stadium with the American League defeating the National League, 7–5. With the NL leading 5–4, two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning and Joe Gordon and Joe DiMaggio of the New York Yankees on base, Ted Williams of the Boston Red Sox hit a walk-off home run off of Claude Passeau of the Chicago Cubs to win it for the AL. From that memorable game is this beautiful Official American League (Harridge) baseball with 30 signatures. Ball is NRMT, very clean and all labels are fully visible although a bit faded. Notable signatures include Joe DiMaggio on the sweet spot (7/10), Ted Williams on a panel (6.5/10) and other Hall of Famers including Bob Feller, Bill Dickey, Joe Gordon, Red Ruffing, Bobby Doerr, Jimmie Foxx and Joe Cronin all averaging (6/10). Only signature on the ball that has been deemed a clubhouse version is Luke Appling. Comes with both PSA and JSA LOAs. There are a few others of these 1941 All-Star balls out there, this one is however is right near the top condition-wise.
