Boston owner Harry Frazee needed money to finish the Broadway production of "My Lady Friends," the forerunner of the musical "No, No, Nanette." Since the sale of Ruth, the Red Sox failed to win a World Series until the 2004 sweep when the Red Sox swept the St. Louis Cardinals.
