265 out of 274 cards are presented here for Topps' beautiful, hand-painted set from 1953. Missing only #s 21, 41, 52, 66, 229, 233, 245, 269 and 270 for completion (card #s 253, 261, 267, 268, 271 and 275 were never issued). The set has its share of stars, including #1 J. Robinson (PSA VG-EX+ 4.5), 27 Campanella (VG), 37 Mathews (PSA VG-EX+ 4.5), 54 Feller (VG), 82 Mantle (PSA EX 5), 104 Berra (VG+ corners, paper missing), 114 Rizzuto (EX+ corners, light crease), 147 Spahn (EX+), 207 Ford (FR-GD), 220 Paige (PSA VG 3), 244 Mays (PSA EX 5) and 280 Bolling (VG). Overall, the cards are in VG-EX condition, with about 10% EX, 60% VG-EX, 10% VG, and 20% showing signs of creasing, pinholes, tape, writing and missing paper. Interestingly enough, the star cards are among the nicer cards in the collection. All in all, a nice complete Topps baseball set with very presentable star cards, sure to be had for a very reasonable price. Total of 265 cards.
