1950's Baseball stars and commons autograph collection (150+). A great and varied postcard collection of many well-known baseball players of the early 1950s, all on standard government issued postcards. Players include Johnny Sain, Phil Cavaretta, ‘Luscious’ Luke Easter, Jack Jensen, Andy Pafko, Jim Piersall, Al Rosen, Dale Mitchell, Bob Feller, Johnny Mize, Ralph Branca, Enos Slaughter, Larry Doby, Ed Mathews, Warren Spahn and Robin Roberts, among others. About 15% of the postcards are duplicates. All were signed in the early '50s and are by-and-large in great shape with only a few wrinkles or corner dings. About 25% of the cards have some scotch tape residue on them that does not affect the autograph. Very nice, nostalgic look at a time when a ballplayer would think nothing of signing his name on the back of a postcard and just mailing it back to you.
