Harry Howell, hockey Hall of Famer, signed and game worn, Old Timers' Game jersey. Howell, a classic stay-at-home defenseman, played 24 seasons of pro major league hockey, with 21 of those years in the NHL. He spent 17 years with the New York Rangers and won the Norris Trophy as the NHL's best defenseman in 1967. He was quoted as then saying, "I am glad I won the Norris this year because Bobby Orr should win it for years to come." Howell turned out to be right, as Orr won the Norris Trophy for the next eight years. Howell scored 101 career goals and had 360 lifetime assists, but was most highly regarded for his outstanding defensive play. From the 1980s. Comes with (8.25x11") photo of the team that is also signed by numerous team members, plus Ranger great Andy Bathgate. Photo shows Howell wearing this exact Bauer jersey. All original. Jersey is white with blue and gold trim. Has 'NHL" on front on chest and "Howell #" on back. Jersey is also signed in neatly scripted blue felt tipped marker on front under neck, and actually shows use with some stick marks and a rip at the V in the neck. Excellent condition.
