Valued keepsake, a press pass from the famous 1934 Major League Baseball All-Star Game. This game, the second Major League All-Star contest ever, was held at the Polo Grounds, in New York. Fittingly, the New York Giants home field featured a famous feat when the Giants' own lefty, Carl Hubbell, struck out a "Murderers Row" of five straight American League All-Stars, as the screwball tossing master fanned, in order: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Al Simmons, and Joe Cronin. The American League did win the game 9-7. Mel Harder of the Indians got the victory, and the Brooklyn Dodgers beautifully named, and immortalized on Terry Cashman's "Talkin' Baseball" recording, Van Lingle Mungo took the loss. There was no press pin created for this game, so this paper stock pass is what the press got. (3.25x3.25"). It reads, "1934 All Star Game - Polo Grounds - Admit Mr. T.C. Ferguson Long Island Star. Seat no. 178." Encapsulated by PSA as Authentic, it does have some slight creasing and looks like it grades Very Good.
