A unique and interesting mixed media piece depicting a young Cassius Clay posing with both hands up ready to take on his career.  Created by R. Carson, this pastel, ink and gouache on charcoal paper artwork is based on the famous 1954 Golden Gloves photograph and is tastefully framed and matted.  Just below his feet, it reads "Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr. won first fight at 12 years of age as a flyweight, beating Ronnie O'Keefe in Louisville, September 11, 1954."  The image area measures 25x39" and is framed and matted to 37x55" overall.  Just as impressive as the artwork is the vintage Cassius Clay signature.  The ink signature cut is nicely matted below and really sets this piece apart.
