Great calendar to time travel back to 1967 and the Red Sox "Miracle Season". Nowadays, the Boston Red Sox seem to have great seasons all the time. The Red Sox World Series win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2018 made it four World Championships in the last 15 years for them, but back in 1967 their outlook was depressing. They had not had a winning season since 1958. When this large calendar (16.5x21.5") was printed, few figured the Red Sox would reach the World Series. Despite a devastating season ending cheek and eye injury to young slugger Tony Conigliaro, when he was hit with a Jack Hamilton pitch, Boston rode Carl Yastrzemski's Triple Crown batting to a 92-70 record, winning in a tremendous three-way pennant race on the last day of the season, ahead of both the Detroit Tigers and the Minnesota Twins by only one game. The colorful calendar is from Vincent's Potato Chips, THE Boston potato chip at the time. Vincent's Potato Chips was founded in Salem, Massachusetts. Remember the Salem Witch Trials? And Vincent's famous logo is a witch flying on a broom - fully visable on the calendar. The calendar features two months per page and and lists each game. It also has many baseball statistics, such as batting and pitching leaders, Hall of Famers, ball park dimensions, and much more, on the back page. Minor splitting at two spots, with overall Excellent condition.
