1912 Chicago White Sox Team Signed Kinst "banana bat." Features 25 signatures including: Buck Weaver, Kid Gleason, Ed Walsh, Ed Cicotte, Ray Schalk, Billy Sullivan, Doc White, Nixey Callahan, Red Kuhn, Morrie Rath, Ping Bodie, Wally Mattick, Rollie Zieder, Harry Lord, Shano Collins, Babe Borton, Reb Russell, Pop-Boy Smith, Jack Fournier, Ted Easterly, Joe Berger, Joe Benz, Frank Lange and one other. Nixey Callahan signed "JJ" Callahan - full name is John Joseph Callahan. Callahan started to sign at the top of the list of signatures, visible "J." A lot of the signatures are printed. Making the bat historically significant are the signatures of Buck Weaver and Eddie Cicotte, players banned from baseball as a result of allegedly accepting bribes while playing for the 1919 Chicago "Black Sox." Also significant are the signatures of Kid Gleason, who honestly managed the 1919 Black Sox, and Ray Shalk and Shano Collins, honest players on that team. Label affixed to center reading "Hit the [ball] on all high numbers to make a home run. No. 5 for a straight hit. No.4 for a two base hit. Right handed batter will have to send it to center field to make a two base hit. Pat 1 [Jan], 1909. E Kinst 17th Street, Chicago." There are the numbers "4" and 5" stamped in the barrel of the bat. "KINST" also stamped into the barrel. Minor paper loss to the label. Bat measures 32".
