Impressive color movie poster (22x28") that shows Billy Conn playing himself in "The Pittsburgh Kid". Conn was known as "The Pittsburgh Kid", and the movie, co-starring Jean Parker, is a fictionalized version of his life. Conn was a Light Heavyweight Champ who gave up his title to fight Joe Louis for the Heavyweight title in 1941. Conn was leading on all judges' cards in the 13th. round when he became aggressive in going for a knockout and lost the fight in that round when knocked out by Louis. A few small rips and some repaired tears. Poster features shots from the film.
