From Tony Gwynn's hit #3,059 - out of 3,141 lifetime - which was against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium II on September 29th in the first game of a doubleheader. Came directly from Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn. Embroidered on front is "#3059, 9-29-99 VS. STL." Has "Authentic Sports Investments" sticker. Russell Athletic, size 50, has "3059 vs. STL 9-29-99" handwritten on Russell and Diamond Collection tags. Gwynn's neatly scripted large signature in black felt tip marker on numeral "1" of number. Away jersey is blue with orange numbers and white trim. Has "Gwynn" in 3" white letters on back. On left shoulder is a patch commemorating the San Diego Padres 50th anniversary. This '99 season was Gwynn's last as a regular in the line-up, and hit #3,059 was a double, Gwynn's third hit of the game, in the sixth inning against Darren Oliver. Gwynn went 4-for-4 in the second game for seven hits on the day, one of the last big days in his career. This is a near-pristine jersey worn by one of the greatest hitters in modern times.
