Stunning movie poster (Spanish, matted and framed 27x41") heralds the film version of the Sonny Liston versus Floyd Patterson II bout in 1963. Tremendous British-inspired red/black/white graphics include full-length depictions of both fighters with "La Pelea Esperada...Floyd Patterson, Sonny Liston." In their first meeting in 1962, Liston KO'd Patterson in the first round to become the Heavyweight Champion of the world. In their second meeting in 1963 (the fight which is referenced in this movie poster), Liston once again KO'd Patterson in the first round. This was also Liston's last bout before he faced Cassius Clay in 1964. Nice stamp at bottom right probably signifies the film union's approval. A very colorful and impressive display piece in superb condition.
