Edison was the first inventor to ever have his own research laboratory. Edison is known for his myriad inventions, in particular the motion picture camera and primitive versions of the early light bulb. But he first rose to fame for his phonograph device, developed at his laboratory in Newark, New Jersey, which at first involved using tinfoil wrapped around a cylinder. Tony Bennett was a prolific recording artist, and the singer sold over 50 million records worldwide. He won 20 Grammy Awards. To name a few: I Left My Heart in San Francisco (1965), For Once in My Life (2007) - with Stevie Wonder, Love For Sale (2019) - with Lady Gaga. Tony Bennett passed away in 2023. The First Day Issue envelope measures 3.6x6.5". The front is canceled as FIRST DAY ISSUE. The issue is postmarked, WASHINGTON, DC MAR 23 1977. Bennett inscribed and signed the envelope as, Good Luck, Tony Bennett. He neatly inscribed and signed the envelope using a black, fine tip marker. The First Day Issue has been encapsulated and BGS Certified as AUTHENTIC AUTOGRAPH.
