Displayed are 1952 & 1953 multi-signed, oversized Cleveland Browns team photos. Each of the oversized black & white photos measures 13.5x20". The '52 Browns had an 8-4 regular season record and they won the American Division of the NFL. The Browns lost the NFL Championship Game 17-7 to the Detroit Lions. Signed photos from the '52 Browns: Front Row - Tommy James, Hall of Famer Otto Graham, Tommy Thompson, Warren Lahr, and Ken Carpenter. Second Row - Hall of Famer Dante Lavelli, Hall of Famer Lou Groza, George Young, Hall of Famer Marion Motley, and Walt Michaels. Rear Row - Hall of Fame Coach/Executive Paul Brown, Hall of Famer Bill Willis, Len Ford, and Dub Jones. The '52 photo has some slight toning because of the passage of years, and pinholes in two corners that were used to hang the photo, but the offering is in overall nice condition. The signatures are in blue ink. The 1953 Cleveland Browns were the NFL's Eastern Division Champions. They lost to the Detroit Lions, 17-16, in the NFL's Championship Game. Signing the 1953 team photo: Abe Gibron, Hall of Famer Otto Graham, Billy Reynolds, Hall of Famer Dante Lavelli, Tommy Thompson, Warren Lahr. Second Row - Ray Renfro, Tom Catlin, Walt Michaels, Ken Gargal, Chuck Noll (later a Hall of Fame coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers). Rear Row - John Sandusky, Hall of Famer Lou Groza, Don Colo, Len Brewster, Len Ford, Doug Atkins, Dub Jones, Frank Gatski, Horace Gillom. The '53 photo has a fold of about six inches on the left side, and a few, smaller, hardly noticeable folds in a few areas. The signatures are in blue or red ink, and the ink shows some fading because of the passage of over seven decades, but the signatures are clearly legible. There are a few pinholes in corners for hanging and a slight stain in a lower corner. The two pictured teams were a part of the Cleveland Browns dynasty that won all four championships in the All-American Football Conference (1946-49), and then won the NFL Championship in the Browns' first NFL season (1950), and in 1954 and 1955, thus in a span of ten seasons winning seven championships and playing in the Championship Game in the other three seasons. The multi-signed photos make a wonderful remembrance of the vintage Cleveland Browns dynasty.
