Displayed is a 1991 Mike Flanagan Game used Baltimore Orioles jersey from the first year of Flanagan's return to the Orioles. He pitched for 18 Major League seasons: Baltimore Orioles (1975-87 & 1991-92), Toronto Blue Jays (1987-90). In his career, Flanagan had a 167-143 record, with a 3.90 ERA. In 1991, Flanagan returned to the Orioles after spending three-plus years with Toronto. In '91, the left-hander had a 2-7 record for the Orioles, with a 2.38 ERA. Flanagan's best season was in 1979, when he won the AL Cy Young Award, with a 23-9 record, with a 3.08 ERA. That year, Flanagan helped the Orioles reach the World Series, where the team lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates. The gray jersey has Orioles across the chest in sewn-on black script with orange trim. Below the team's name is 46, in sewn-on black numerals with orange trim. The left sleeve has an embroidered Rawlings logo, in black thread. Six silver-gray buttons run down the front. On the inside left front waist is a Rawlings manufacturer's tag that shows the size as 46. Next to the manufacturer's tag is a tag reading, SET 1 1991. On back is a gray sewn-on nameplate, with FLANAGAN sewn on in black letters with orange trim. Below the nameplate is 46 in sewn-on black numerals with orange trim. The jersey exhibits light wear, mostly in the form of loose or missing threads. Overall, the jersey is in nice condition.
