Displayed is a vintage 1960s cut autograph from Dean Martin, a widely popular entertainer whose versatility enabled him to become a part of the legendary Martin and Lewis act, a singer and an actor. Born Dino Paul Crocetti in 1917 in Steubenville, Ohio, Martin began singing locally as a youth and eventually became a nightclub singer in New York City, where he was entertaining on the same bill as comedian Jerry Lewis and the two joined their individual acts, and became the iconic Martin and Lewis, who stayed as an act for ten years and entertained in radio, television and movies. Martin became a part of the famous Rat Pack, a group including Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr., who became close friends, joined each other's performances in Las Vegas and made movies together. Martin also had a very successful television variety program, The Dean Martin Show. In his recording career, Martin's biggest hits included Volare, That's Amore, Everybody Loves Somebody, and You're Nobody till Somebody Loves You. Worldwide, Martin sold over 50 million records. He passed away in 1995. Martin signed in blue ballpoint. The signature is on an approx. 2.25x4" piece of paper or card stock. The aforementioned autographed item is affixed to an approx. 3x4.5" piece of paper or card stock. There are several small tape and/or glue remnants at the top of the autograph, but they do not impinge on the signature itself. Below the autograph is a strand of thin plastic on which "Dean Martin" has been printed with a labeler. The offering has been encapsulated and PSA/DNA Certified as AUTHENTIC AUTO.
