Collection of ten uncut strips of black-and-white film negatives and one uncut strip of color film negatives capturing images related to the Pittsburgh Pirates. A total of 48 images are featured in the collection, with nearly all dating to the 1970s. Most of the glassine sleeves housing the strips are stamped "Photography by Robert J. Pavuchak," who was a longtime staff photographer with the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. Five of the black-and-white negatives capture Roberto Clemente visiting sick children in a hospital, while the two color images picture Clemente in front of his Pittsburgh Pirates locker. Another five black-and-white negatives picture Clemente's wife and kids at Three Rivers Stadium on April 6, 1973, during the ceremony in which the Pirates retired Clemente's number "21." Additional images include Dave Parker, a fight sequence, and various game scenes. The color strip measures 2.5x5 inches. The black-and-white strips range from approximately 1.5x5 inches to 1.5x7 inches. Excellent to Mint condition overall.
