Circa 1990s hockey stick dates from early in the career of Jeremy Roenick with the Chicago Blackhawks. Easton T-Flex 100 is a 2-piece with blue aluminum shaft and wood blade. Nice use is evident with original white tape butt end having number 27 written in black marker, and original black tape on blade. A couple of notes on this style of stick; Easton, noted for aluminum baseball bats, introduced aluminum shafts into hockey in the late '80s-early '90s, where they became very popular with use by the likes of stars like Roenick and the immortal Wayne Gretzky. Since there were two separate parts to each stick, the name was generally stamped on the blade instead of the shaft, as was common practice. Due to flaws in the aluminum sticks (they snapped easily once chipped, among others), they gave way to the composite sticks still generally used today. Roenick's feisty play and scoring touch made him immensely popular, and he became just the third American-born NHL player to record 500 career goals, ending with 513 over 20 seasons.
