Collection of over five dozen (61) Sports Illustrated magazines includes five (5) of the highly-coveted First Issue, dated August 16, 1954. Of the five First Issues, three come in a maroon-colored display folder which has an SI Certificate of Authenticity, issued in 1994 as part of the magazine's 40th Anniversary. The other two come with their original mailing envelope, one with mailing label still attached; all have the baseball card inserts intact and untouched. Other issues range from 1955 to 1999, and included are Sportsmen of the Year and Swimsuit issues; several have Pete Rose on the cover, as well as Johnny Bench, Sandy Koufax, Ted Williams, Muhammad Ali, and many more. Condition averages EX+ with at least one having a separated cover, but many remain in the NM range. Great history from America's premier sports publication.
