Displayed is a signed circa 1960s Tommy Heinsohn Type I photo that was used for multiple trading cards, the cover of a 1963 Celtics vs. Knicks game program, and inside a 1960 Celtics program. Heinsohn played his entire nine-year NBA career with the Celtics. The 1956-57 NBA Rookie of the Year was a part of eight NBA Champions as a player and two more NBA Championships as the Celtics' head coach. At a rugged 6'7", Heinsohn was a power forward who also played some at small forward. Tommy had a low-trajectory line drive jump shot, one which developed from playing at CYO gyms, with very low ceilings, in and near his hometown of Union City, New Jersey. Heinsohn was an aggressive player who loved to shoot, and his propensity for launching plenty of shots earned him the nickname of "Tommy Gun." Tommy averaged 16.6 PPG and 8.8 TRB in the NBA. Heinsohn also was a long-time Boston Celtic broadcaster on radio and television, and in his six-decade tenure with the Celtics, he was associated with every one of the team's 17 NBA Championships, a record. Used for 1999-00 Upper Deck Legends #20 card, 2002-03 Upper Deck Generations #107 and 2008-09 Upper Deck - Dynasty Boston Celtics #16 cards. In the offered 8x10" photo, Heinsohn is displaying a hook shot for the camera. The Celtics great signed and personalized the photo, to the original owner, in blue ink, writing, "To Jeff - Regards Tommy Heinsohn." The photo has been encapsulated and PSA/DNA certified AUTHENTIC.
