Over his 17-year career, Rod Woodson established himself as one of the greatest defensive backs in NFL history. A special jersey, this white road model from 1993 originates directly from the Pittsburgh Steelers and shows terrific use including paint transfers, scuffs, abrasions, pilling, and at least 19 team repairs. In addition to being accompanied by a full LOA from the Pittsburgh Steelers, Lelands has also photo-matched it to one worn by Woodson in the 1993 AFC Wild Card Game against the Kansas City Chiefs (Getty Images 81691276 and 81691264). It is all original with custom-hemmed sleeves. The number 26 appears on the front, back, and both shoulders. “WOODSON” is sewn on a plate on the back in yellow-on-black lettering. On the front tail is “93” year tag and Starter Pittsburgh Steelers tag with size 46 flag tag. The presence of the NFL 75th Anniversary diamond patch on the left breast indicates that this jersey also saw use during the 1994 season. The year of this jersey is important because, with eight interceptions, two sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery, Woodson was voted the NFL Defensive Player of the Year for 1993. All considered, this is the best Woodson jersey we have ever seen. Comes with Davious Photo-Matched LOA and full LOA from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
