Collection of fifty-two vintage baseball photographs culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. With the exception of just six, all capture game action on the field. Four of the "action" photos capture amateur games, while the remainder are of Major League games from the 1950s. Nine of the photos include the original paper news caption affixed to the reverse. Among the stars featured in this collection are Jackie Robinson, Pee Wee Reese, Phil Rizzuto, Minnie Minoso, and Billy Martin. The vast majority measure either 8x10" or 7x9", with just a few smaller. Nearly all the photos display curved edges as a result of the photos having been rolled at one time. Most display common flaws associated with news photos, including, but not limited to, small edge tears, creasing, and editorial markings on the reverse.
