The twenty-three signatures on the ball are those of Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, Hank Aaron, Eddie Mathews, Willie Stargell, Carl Yastrzemski, Juan Marichal, Al Kaline, Pee Wee Reese, Hoyt Wilhelm, Duke Snider, George Kell, Steve Carlton, Ernie Banks, Willie McCovey (sweet spot), Reggie Jackson (sweet spot), Leo Durocher (partially on the sweet spot), Joe Morgan, Fergie Jenkins, Whitey Ford, Rick Ferrell, Pete Rose, and one other (illegible). Signatures average 9/10. Near Mint condition. This ball dates precisely to 1983 based upon the manufacturer's stampings. While we do not know the circumstances of its signing, it might originate from the 1983 All-Star Game in Chicago, where Major League Baseball invited back all the former All-Star players to celebrate the game's 50th Anniversary.
