Exceptional vintage 1967 Carl Yastrzemski game used bat from his Triple Crown season, signed by the Boston Red Sox legend. Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger has model W215 etched into the barrel and measures 35.0 inches while weighing 31.0 ounces. Per the included PSA/DNA Letter of Authenticity, the bat shows evidence of excellent use with ball and stitch marks on the barrel, blue bat rack paint transfers, and light pine tar on the handle. The bat has darkened to a great patina over the years, with a water stain on top of the barrel. Number 8 is in black marker on the knob, and Yaz signed years later with the double-inscription, "HOF 1989 - TC 1967." PSA/DNA has issued a bat grade of GU 8.5, making this a high-quality game used item from the season in which Yaz dominated the American League to the tune of 44 homers, 121 RBI, and a .326 batting average, while also pacing the circuit in runs (112), hits (189), and slugging percentage (.622) among other categories. Note that PSA has certified the bat for use during the 1965-68 labeling period, but further cites an original LOA from Sportsworld (also included) indicating that the bat was obtained from a Red Sox employee and attributes it specifically to the '67 Triple Crown season.
