1980s John Tonelli New York Islanders game used helmet is from one of the unsung heroes of the franchise's dynasty period spanning from 1979-80 to 1982-83. Blue CCM helmet has number 27 decal in white numbers on back, with circular Islanders logo on each side. Excellent use is displayed with scuffs throughout and some erosion of the padding; there is also writing in blue ink on the back pad which has been crossed out and is illegible. Tonelli was a fan-favorite with the Isles thanks to his combination of physical play and finesse, and his fitting career highlight was initiating the cross-ice pass to linemate Bobby Nystrom for the series-clinching goal over the Philadelphia Flyers, resulting in the team's first cup in 1980.
