Displayed is the gorgeous, stunning Jack Morris Toronto Blue Jays individual World Series trophy that was presented to the Hall of Fame right-hander. Morris pitched in the Major Leagues for 18 seasons: Detroit Tigers (1977-90), Minnesota Twins (1991), Toronto Blue Jays (1992-93), Cleveland Indians (1994). His lifetime record is 254-186, with a 3.90 ERA. A 5-time All-Star, he earned three World Championships. The 1993 Blue Jays went 95-67 in the regular season to win the AL East, and they won a 4-2 in games victory over the Chicago White Sox in the AL Championship Series. Toronto then defeated the Philadelphia Phillies, 4-2 in games in the World Series. Morris battled injuries and struggled in '93. He finished the season at 7-12, with a 6.19 ERA, and did not appear in the postseason. The Blue Jays had three other future Hall of Famers on manager Cito Gaston's '93 squad: Roberto Alomar, at second base; Rickey Henderson in the outfield; Paul Molitor, usually at DH. Others contributed as well. Outfielder Joe Carter had 33 homers and drove in 121 runs, and first baseman John Olerud, who led the AL in batting at .363. The World Series Trophy is 12" high, and it has a base diameter of 7.25". All of the 28 Major League teams are represented with a pennant, on a representational flagpole. A ring, with an approx. diameter of 5.5", is in the center of the trophy and a royal crown sits on top of the ring, with a "baseball" at the bottom of the ring. Representational Blue Jays and Phillies "press pins" are on the front of the base. Imprinted on a gold color band around the base of the trophy is "WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS TORONTO BLUE JAYS 1993/JACK MORRIS." The trophy is in very nice condition, with a Balfour manufacturer's sticker on the bottom. The trophy came directly from Jack Morris, and it comes with an LOA signed by him.
