Collection of both single-signed and multi-signed baseballs, featuring a total of nine Hall of Famer signatures. 1) Ted Williams Single-Signed Ball. Blue-ink signature (8/10) on the sweet spot of an official American League (Brown) ball. Near Mint. 2) Hank Aaron Single-Signed Ball. Blue-ink signature (7/10) on the side panel of an official National League (Feeney) ball bearing a special stamping reading "Cowhide Baseball/First Use 4-4-74/Cincinnati vs. Atlanta." (April 4, 1974, was the date of Aaron's record-tying 714th career home run. These specially stamped balls were produced for the game, but there is no indication that this is a game-used ball.) The ball displays moderate, scattered toning and is otherwise in Near Mint condition. 3) Willie Mays Single-Signed Ball. Blue-ink signature (7/10) on the side panel of an official 1983 All-Star Game ball. EX-MT, with light toning. 4) 1958 New York Yankees Team-Signed Ball. Twenty-six blue ink signatures on a Spalding New York Yankees souvenir ball, including Mantle (sweet spot), Berra (sweet spot), Stengel (Mgr.), Ford, Slaughter, Howard, McDougald, Skowron, Lumpe, Trucks (on ball label), Throneberry (on ball label), Turley, Johnson, Ditmar, Kucks, Larsen, Kubek, Richardson, Maas, Duren, Carey, Shantz, and Siebern. Nine of the signatures are badly faded (including Stengel and Ford), and grade between 1/10 and 4/10. The remaining signatures average 7/10 (including Mantle and Berra). EX-MT, with light soiling. 5) Circa 1980 New York Yankees Signed Ball with Mickey Mantle. Eight blue-ink signatures (averaging 5/10) on an official American League (MacPhail) ball: Mickey Mantle (sweet spot), Willie Randolph, Brian Doyle, Dick Howser (coach), Jeff Torborg (coach), Tom Underwood, Tommy John, and Fred Stanley. EX-MT, with moderate toning.
