Presented is a high-quality replica 1998 National League All-Star jersey signed by Hall of Famer Craig Biggio. The versatile Biggio broke into the Major Leagues with the Houston Astros in 2005 as a catcher. He was an All-Star at catcher in 1991, and he won a Silver Slugger Award behind the plate. He was switched to second base in 1992 and became an All-Star at the keystone sack that season and was an All-Star second baseman five more times. In 2003, he moved to center field for two seasons and then shifted back to second base where he played three seasons in finishing his career. He won four Silver Slugger Awards at second base, and four Gold Gloves at that position. Biggio is the only Major League player in history to record at least: 3,000 hits (3060), 600 doubles (668), 400 steals (414), and 250 home runs (291). The green mesh jersey has "NATIONAL" across the chest, with the letter "A" in the name represented by mountain peaks. The right sleeve has a patch reading, COLORADO ROCKIES ALL-STAR GAME." The left sleeve has a Houston Astros patch. The back of the jersey has "BIGGIO" in white letters with purple trim. Under the name is the numeral "7," also in white with purple trim. The lower left outside tail has a tag reading "Authentic Diamond Collection" and "Majestic." In the neck is a "Majestic Authentic Diamond Collection" tag and a smaller tag reading, in part,"100% nylon," and giving washing instructions. There are green buttons on the front center line. Biggio has signed the jersey with a black marker on the number "7" on the back and Biggio has inscribed "#7" under his autograph. The signature and inscription are slightly bled, but both are still 8/10. Biggio was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2015. Hall of Fame manager Tony La Russa aptly summed up Biggio in saying, "He was so competitive.... If you're playing with him, you love him. If you're playing against him, you want to beat the heck out of him." The replica jersey is in excellent condition and is an attractive item of a relatively recent Hall of Famer.
