When Houston was awarded a Major League expansion franchise in 1962, the team was named the Colt 45s in deference to the state's heritage, but that changed in 1965 when the opening of the Astrodome coincided with a name change to the modern-day Astros. This throwback Colt 45s jersey and cap were worn by Chris Snyder on Sept. 21, 2012 when the Astros played the Pirates at home in Houston. White jersey has Majestic size 48 tail tag, tag with chain-stitched name and number in collar, and number 18 on back in navy-on-orange tackle twill. Shows great use with dirt stains throughout. Hat is navy with orange button and embroidered logo, signed under the bill. Both are MLB authenticated with holograms and also signed by the hometown product, who was born in Houston.
