Framed photo collage features Davey Allison in action, including a rare signature on the final image. A member of one of racing's most decorated families, Davey's Texaco Havoline car is shown after an apparent wreck, with Allison clearly in discomfort in the top image. A plate below is engraved, "Pain is Gain/By: Stephen." This could well be a reference to his 1992 NASCAR season, in which he claimed victories in races despite suffering from multiple injuries at the time. Sadly, the rarity of the photo is due to his tragic death in a 1993 helicopter accident; despite having a relatively brief career, Davey accumulated 19 victories and 92 Top 10 finishes in 191 starts in what was then known as NASCAR's Winston Cup series. Piece is matted and framed to 13.75x28.75", and his autograph is in 9/10 black Sharpie.
