Presented is a Henry Armstrong signature and photo display, one that pays homage to the fighter known as the "Triple Champion" because he simultaneously held the World Championship in three weight classes. In 1938, Armstrong (born Henry Jackson) already held the World Featherweight Championship when he defeated Barney Ross on May 31, 1938, for the World Welterweight Title. Then, on August 17th of that year, Armstrong defeated Lou Ambers to take the World Lightweight Championship. Boxing historian Burt Sugar once rated Armstrong as the second greatest fighter of all time. Presented is a Henry Armstrong signature and photo display. The signature and photo display is matted and framed at 10.25x16.25". At the top of the display is a 7x9" black and white photo of Armstrong, appearing to be in training. Below the photo is a card, visible at 2.5x3.75", that shows Armstrong's signature. As he often did, Armstrong signed the card as "Sincerely Henry Armstrong." Below the signature card is a 1x3.5" placard that reads "Henry Armstrong Triple Champion." The signature is 9/10. The photo appears NRMT, probably a print from the 1970s.
