Vintage photograph capturing Hall of Fame pitcher Chief Bender as a member of the Philadelphia Athletics. Bender is pictured striking a pitching pose on the sideline prior to a spring training game. Bender's name was etched into the base of the negative, which appears in white print on the developed print. A Brown Brothers credit stamp appears not the reverse. Although no year is listed, the uniform style shown here was used by the A's between the years 1909 and 1914. The photo (3.25x5.25") remains in Excellent condition.
