"Willie, Mickey and the Duke," sang Terry Cashman in his 1981 hit recording Talkin' Baseball, a song that has become a classic. Offered is a rare pack of 21 black and white photos that contains individual photos of Willie Mays, Mickey Mantle, and Duke Snider, plus 18 other All-Stars from both leagues. The Mantle photo was taken in 1951, and we think the set is from 1952-53. In addition to Hall of Fame center fielders Mays and Snider, other National League Hall of Famers: Robin Roberts, Ed Mathews, Stan Musial, Ralph Kiner, Roy Campanella, and Red Schoendienst. Other National League All-Stars include Al Dark and Ted Kluszewski. In addition to Mantle, American League Hall of Famers: Ted Williams, and Yogi Berra, plus Minnie Minoso - scheduled for induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2022. Other American League All-Stars: Mike Garcia, Al Rosen, Harvey Kuenn, Allie Reynolds, Bobby Avila, and Ray Boone. The photos measure 6.1" x 8.75". The original envelope is GD, but photos inside are mostly NR-MT. It's a great pack of 1950s baseball nostalgia.
