Displayed is a Boston Celtic Kevin McHale game used jersey. McHale, who played all of his 13 NBA seasons with the Boston Celtics, was a part of what many consider the best front line ever in the NBA. That frontcourt was composed of all future Hall of Famers: Larry Bird at small forward, Kevin McHale at power forward, and Robert Parrish at center. McHale started his pro career as a sixth man, playing forward as a sub for both Cedric Maxwell and Larry Bird. He won two NBA Sixth Man of the Year Awards. After Maxwell left the Celtics, McHale became a starter at power forward. At 6'10", he presented match-up problems for other teams as McHale was unusually mobile for his height. McHale was a major part of three Celtic championship teams. He was a 7-time All-Star, and a 6-time member of the All-Defensive Team. McHale averaged 17.9 PPG and 7.3 TRB for his career. But it wasn't all about stats for him. McHale said that the key to the Celtics success was a philosophy of "It's we before me.", the Celtic tradition of team basketball.
