Spectacular Babe Ruth signed presentation photograph dating from 1947. The large-format photo (16x20") features a classic image of Ruth in mid-swing and has been beautifully inscribed in black fountain pen "To my good friend/Paul McNutt/From/Babe Ruth/1947." PSA has graded the signature NM-MT 8, however, we feel that grade is extremely conservative. Ruth probably signed thousands of photos for fans during his lifetime, but these large-format examples were special presentation pieces given only to close friends. That's why Ruth took special care when signing the piece, making sure that his inscription and signature stayed completely within the confines of his image and the perfect contrast it provides. This is the ultimate Ruth signed photo and it would be hard to imagine a finer example. The photo remains in apparent Near Mint condition and has been framed to total dimensions of 24x28". Full LOA from PSA and signature has been graded NM-MT 8 by PSA.
