Collection of five seldom-seen china serving plates originating from the New York Mets Diamond Club restaurant, circa 1968. Each Winthrop-shaped plate is identical in design and features the Mets logo in the center. Stamped "Syracuse China" on the reverse. The Diamond Club was the Mets high-end dining facility at Shea Stadium and these were the buffet plates used by the patrons. The plates (10.5" in diameter) display light wear and all remain in Excellent to Mint condition. This is an extremely rare collection of New York Mets plates dating from the time period of the club's first World Championship in franchise history.
