Original Type I photograph capturing John McGraw as a member of the New York Giants. McGraw is pictured in uniform standing on the field alongside New York Yankees owner Jacob Ruppert and Yankees general manager Ed Barrow. The home uniform style shown here was worn by the Giants between the years 1919 and 1921. While we cannot state with certainty, the fact that the Yankees and Giants met in the 1921 World Series makes it likely that this image was taken during that first postseason meeting between the two New York clubs. Three Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with McGraw's name written in pencil. The photo (3x4.5") remains in Excellent collection.
