Known as "Big Doggie," Atanasio "Tony" Hall of Famer Perez was the clean-up hitter for the fabulous "Big Red Machine," the Cincinnati Reds of the 1970s who won four pennants and two World championships. MLB all-time hit king Pete Rose said of Perez, "He was the guy we depended on." No wonder. In the years from 1970-1976, Perez averaged more than 100 RBI a season for the Reds. Playing first base and third base, Perez was a 7-time All-Star. Perez played most of his career with the Reds and also played for four other teams, and also managed the Reds and the Florida Marlins. Tony was one of the most popular players in the history of the Cincinnati Reds. The home jersey is nearly perfect in every respect, but for the name on the back that was removed and then restored, and a tiny pinhole midback on the left. Everything else is 100 percent original, including the numbering and the Reds logo. There is a "Rawlings size 44" tag inside front tail along with cleaning instructions and a "Set 1 1971" flag tag. Number "28" is on the back and on the right chest and the Reds' logo is on the left chest. Perez jerseys are super rare - one of the toughest of all the Big Red Machine players and this is a fantastic one. It shows fine use. The jersey is signed on the front at the bottom of the jersey.
