Original Type I photograph capturing Babe Ruth as a member of the New York Yankees. The image pictures Ruth at bat during a 1926 World Series game against the St. Louis Cardinals at Yankee Stadium. The handwritten date "Oct 4, 1926," is written on the reverse, along with "World Series Yanks vs. Cards." Given the dating, this photo was taken during Game 2 of the Series, which St. Louis won by a score of 6-2. Five Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with several additional handwritten editorial notations.
