Original glass plate negative capturing the 1911 New York Yankees as they take part in an innovative team photo during spring training. The cameraman has arranged the players in the stands so that they form an “NY” to represent their city affiliation. First baseman Hal Chase can be seen sitting on the ground at the far right, forming the bottom of the “Y.” The negative (7x5”) displays minor flaws, mainly along the periphery, but the central image is largely unaffected.
