Spectacular large-format team photo display commemorating the 1903-04 and 1905 champion seasons of Canada's Three Rivers Hockey Team. The design features a large central photo of the club mounted upon a larger backing bearing the informational text along the base. The crystal-clear clear photo, mounted on thick cardboard, pictures eight players and four team officials posing together in a formal studio setting. Each player is holding his  hockey stick, and a large trophy cup is prominently displayed in the forefront. The printing below the photo identifies both the team, "The Three Rivers Hockey Team, Intermediate Champions of Canada," and each individual team member pictured. In the bottom left and right corners, respectively, are the club's game results for the 1903-04 and 1905 seasons. The team went undefeated in the 1903-04 season, finishing the year with a record of 12-0-1. The following year they were almost equally successful, winning ten games and losing just once. The photo measures 15.5x12" and is in Near Mint condition. The mount displays only a few small areas of light discoloration and is in Excellent to Mint condition. Framed to total dimensions of 29.87x24.25". Displays of this size and quality, dating from this time period, for any sport, are scarce, making this an exceptional turn-of-the-century hockey display piece.
