Impressive enough specimen in this 1905 Detroit Tigers ticket, but it is magnified by the fact that this was from the rookie season of the immortal Ty Cobb. Ticket itself is a muted beige-like color, though it may have faded somewhat from its original look; still, this blank-backed beauty presents magnificently and is in EX condition with clear print and no major defects. Number 11 is above the 25 cent price, issued by Detroit Base Ball Co. with prominent Rain Check. At the tender age of 18, Cobb batted just .238 in 41 games during that first season; little did Tigers fans know the icon they would be blessed with over the span of his 24-year Hall of Fame career.
