Among his many accomplishments, Minnie Minoso is noted for being the first Black Cuban in the Major Leagues, as well as the first Black player in Chicago White Sox history. This Cuban passport is issued under his given name, Saturnino Orestes de Armas (the rest of his name is Minoso Arrieta), and the pages are packed with stamps from travel as well as a photo and more dating from the mid-to-late 1950s. Also included is a 3.25x5.25" black and white publicity photo in uniform with reproduced autograph. Though he started his career in the Negro Leagues, Minoso went on to earn nine All-Star Game appearances over his two decades in MLB.
