Bright green boxing broadside heralded the May 11, 1981, bout between "Irish Gerry Cooney" and Ken Norton at Madison Square Garden. Cardboard poster was sponsored by Power's Irish Whiskey, so there was little doubt as to who they favored as it features a kelly green background surrounded by white shamrocks, and a drawing of each combatant also within a white shamrock. Some chipping to the corners of the green border is apparent, as are staple holes in each of the four corners. The 24-year old Cooney stopped an aging Norton in a devastating 54-second knockout, though it proved to be the last significant victory in Gentleman Gerry's promising career.
