Nice statue presented to Babe Ruth in 1938 evidently was awarded for his involvement with the Boy Scouts of America. Standing 11" tall including a 2.5" wood base, which bears a plate reading, "Presented to Babe Ruth, Campaign Chairman, 1938." Also, added around the base on which the Scout stands with hat in hand are the tenets of the Boy Scout code; Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent. A pair of American institutions in one fine memento.
