Beautiful and meaningful 1997 Joe Carter game worn Toronto Blue Jays jersey, gifted to Cito Gaston. Wilson size 46 and 97 year tags in collar, Blue Jays in light and dark blue lettering across the button front, Jackie Robinson 50th Anniversary patch on right sleeve and Jays maple leaf logo patch on left. Number 43 is on the left front below the name and on back, name sewn directly to the jersey in same style lettering. Nice use shown with faint pink stain across the bottom front. Signed in black by Carter, "To Cito, My thanks to for you for everything (sic). God Bless You, Joe Carter, 29, HR #203, 9-24-97." As explained in the LOA signed by Gaston, "This was a thank you gift from Joe after I was fired on 9-24-97. For the remainder of the year he changed his number from 29 and wore number 43 in my honor." Letter also mentions that the 203 listed was Carter's career home run total with Toronto.
