1908 French Boxing Poster on linen backer.  The poster is in colorful green and red and is marked Societe Nouvelle D'Art and Decoration Paris.  The bout took place at the Hippodrome on Dec 30, 1908 at 9 PM.  Fights included Sherwood vs. Gloria, Green vs. Scanlon, Caine vs. Young Lilly, and the main bout Rickard vs, Wilson where Rickard won on a DQ.  The poster measures 65" long and 48" high.  The piece is in overall very good condition with edge and corner wear present.  A visible water stain exists in the top left hand corner as well as above the r and o in hippodrome.  Colors are vivid and bold.
