Superb circa 1910s Type I photograph of Grover Cleveland Alexander as seen through the lens of storied photographer Charles Conlon. Considered the dominant pitcher of the decade, Alexander is shown in follow-through while warming up in this superb image. Measuring 7.5x9.25", there are a few barely-noticeable creases at the edges, verso has player ID in pencil along with "Philadelphia Nationals" (they were also known as the Phillies at that time), along with a "Conlon" signature on the back in pencil that is very light as it has been partially erased. Though the Hall of Famer's hurler's legend is well known, modern era statistics continue to shed new light on the greats of the game; his microscopic 0.842 WHIP in 1915 is one of the best single-season marks of all-time, complimenting his 31-10 record and 1.22 ERA. Reverse also has stamps from Brown Brothers, as this is from their extensive collection. PSA encapsulated Type I Authentic.
