Original display box for "The Munsters", issued by Leaf in 1964. This box - in impeccable condition - once held twenty-four 5¢ packs of The Munsters bubble-gum cards, which are also highly sought after by collectors today. The box lid features an image of the ghoulish clan, including Herman, Lily, Grandpa, Eddie, and, of course, the perfectly normal and beautiful Marilyn (who in this family was of course considered an outcast), all of whom lived at 1313 Mockingbird Lane. The Munsters was a TV sensation in 1964/1965, so it was only natural that Leaf honored the popular show with its own trading card set. This is one of the pop-culture classics of 1960s nonsport display boxes, and outside of a few age spots on the lid, the box (8 x 4 x 1.75 inches) presents magnificently, easily grading NM or better. The coating on the box is still high-gloss, and the perforations on the top lid have never even been disturbed!  Simply put, the best there is.
